New Leader for Sisters of St Joseph , Perthville

At the gathering of their Chapter last week, the Sisters of St Joseph elected Sister Mary Comer as Congregational Leader for the next five years.  Sister Mary is the Director of Centacare Bathurst and has held that position since its foundation in 1988.

The Chapter, which is the highest governing body of the Congregation, explored the current reality of the Sisters’ community and mission, and made decisions which will take the Community forward into the future.

In an atmosphere of prayer and discernment, the Sisters affirmed their ongoing commitment to the Bathurst Diocese, and endorsed the Josephite Foundation,
St Joseph ’s College, and their commitment to working in partnership with lay people including the Perthville Josephites Association.
